McCain Cheap Shot: Obama Will Teach Your 5-Year-Olds About Sex

Why is it that every time McCain has any substantive jump in the polls, he has to turn around and shoot himself in the foot? This has happened time and time again, and up until the Palin pick, I could have sworn he was trying to throw the election. The following McCain advertisement is one of the bullets that will find its way into the maverick's foot:

The fact that Obama is a "staunch defender of the existing public school monopoly" was probably the truest statement in the ad. Here's what Obama campaign spokeswoman Jen Psaki had to say on the subject:
"Barack Obama supports sensible, community-driven education for children because, among other things, he believes it could help protect them from pedophiles. A child's knowledge of the difference between appropriate and inappropriate touching is crucial to keeping them safe from predators."
She also indicated that not only would parents be able to "opt out," but that as far as details go, "
the touching aspect seems to be the main idea." Meanwhile, McCain's ad makes it seem like Barack wants to replace Green Eggs & Ham with 50 Ways to Please Your Man.
