Surprise: Muslims Outraged by Osama Bin Lego

December 5, 2008 |

If you thought this story couldn't be topped, you're in for a good one. Add this to the long list of things that have Muslims outraged:

"A range of Lego-style fighting figurines - including an Islamic terrorist militant - has sparked outrage among Muslims. Shocked by the playthings, British Muslim organisation the Ramadhan Foundation has branded the figurines "absolutely disgusting".

Chief executive Mohammed Shafiq said the figures were "glorifying terrorism".

He said: "I don't think there's any difference between someone that shouts hatred through a megaphone and someone that creates a doll that glorifies terrorists...It belittles the pain the families of victims of terror have gone through."

Other fighters in the range include World War Two troops, US marines - and a Nazi SS officer."
Ah yes, everyone knows the stereotypical evil Muslim terrorist: yellow skin, a perfectly symmetrical body, and hands suitable for grabbing only the most cylindrical of objects.

The depressing part is that most Muslim organizations are more outspoken and "outraged" by effing toys than by the senseless murders that are carried out in their name. I'm sure the Ramadhan Foundation was "outraged" by the 10 Muslims who managed to torture and kill hundreds in Bombay last week (no, I'm not going to call it Mumbai). See any Jewish groups outraged over Lego Nazis?

Let's do a little experiment. Pick a group, any group at all. It can be a religious group, a political group, an occupational group - whatever. Now add the word "Outraged," paste it into Google, and hit enter. Here are my scientific findings:

What a burden it must be to carry such a large share of the worlds outrage. Whether it's cartoons, puppies, potato chips, inbreeding, college exams, bank robbers, or wine tastings, there's no shortage of outrage from the Muslim world. The non-Muslim world isn't looking for you to point out their "intolerance" in the areas of toy-making. It's looking for you to point out the subversion of your religion by Godless killers, and join the rest of the world in saying "enough is enough."

Attention Teachers: When Talking About Terrorism, Try Not to Use the Sole Muslim Kid as an Example

September 15, 2008 |

In fact, if your goal is to keep your job, it might be a good idea to just not talk about airline terrorism in class at all. A Chicago public school teacher could be finding another line of work after deciding it was necessary (and "politically permissible") to describe how the only Muslim in the room could "hypothetically" sneak bombs onto a plane.

Naturally, CAIR is on the case. Rest assured offended Muslim child - the Saudis have your back. The article doesn't state whether or not she made him take off his shoes:
The teacher allegedly used Saleh as an example when she described a hypothetical homicide bombing, saying that he would carry explosives on board a plane and blow it up.

Though the 13-year-old declined to speak to the media about the ordeal, his brother Mohammad Fahad Choudhary said that "before he even took his backpack off, he had tears in his eyes already" when he came home from school that day.

The older brother said that Saleh was then relentlessly mocked by the other students after the classroom incident in April.

"Everybody started teasing him and calling him a terrorist after the comments were made by the teacher," Mohammad said.
Surprisingly, this lesson came right after a lecture entitled "MONUMENTAL FAILURES OF COMMON SENSE." Come on, man.

What Would Muhammad Do?

June 26, 2008 |

Dr. Ahmad Al-Mu'bi, a Saudi marriage officiant, gave an interview on Lebanese television in which he stated that it is permissible to "marry a girl at the age of one, if sex is postponed." He further justifies this by stating that, "The Prophet Muhammad is the model we follow; he took 'Aisha to be his wife when she was six, but he had sex with her only when she was nine." Watch.

So Muhammad was a pedophile? Good to know! You should understand that the young mind of a Saudi male needs the companionship and intellectual stimulation that only a one-year-old can bring to the table. And if you don't think having sex with a nine-year-old is rape, you should...well, you should move to Saudi Arabia.

Meanwhile, citing "evolving standards of decency," our own Supreme Court has just ruled that we are not allowed to execute someone who rapes a child. The ruling stemmed from a 2003 case in which a man was sentenced to death for raping his 8-year-old stepdaughter. What was the Supreme Court's justification? That executing someone found guilty of child rape would be a violation of the Eighth Amendment, constituting "cruel and unusual punishment."

So I guess having the perpetrator raped is out of the question? Two of the most liberal judges the court has ever seen, Souter and Ginsberg, based their decision on "evolving standards of decency that mark the progress of a maturing society." Could a "maturing society" be one that isn't full of child rapists?

Justice Alito wrote that the 5 judges ruled against the death penalty "no matter how young the child, no matter how many times the child is raped, no matter how many children the perpetrator rapes, no matter how sadistic the crime, no matter how much physical or psychological trauma is inflicted and no matter how heinous the perpetrator's criminal record may be."

In a 5-4 vote, the liberals on the Supreme Court, rather than acting as protectors of the nation's children, have thrown them to the wolves. Muhammad would have loved it here.

Update: Islamic Saudi Academy Director Arrested

June 17, 2008 |

Abdullah Al-Shabnan, the director of the Islamic Saudi Academy in Virginia, has been arrested for failing to report the sexual abuse of a child and attempting to "eliminate any traces of the report." If you are still unfamiliar with this radical school, you can either read these posts, or peruse the official report by the United States Commission on International Religious Freedom, in which the commission expresses "concern about the promotion of religious intolerance and religion-based violence."

Al-Shabnan was arrested on June 9th, with pretty much zero coverage from the national media. Patrick Poole at PJM detailed the events following a raid on the school by state authorities:

According to a local news report [video] on June 3, the female student reported her claims to her teachers, and a report on the matter was drawn up by the teachers and the school’s principal and submitted to administrators. But when the allegations reached the desk of school director Abdullah Al-Shabnan, he didn’t believe the girl and failed to report the sex abuse claims to law enforcement within the 72 hours required by state law.

Apparently tipped off on a cover-up, law enforcement authorities raided the school on May 23 to seize computers and look for evidence after Al-Shabnan ordered the original report deleted from school computers.

Just three days before the raid, the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors voted unanimously to renew the academy’s lease of county property, ignoring multiple reports of the school’s promotion of violence and hatred.

Luckily, the locals are having none of it, reportedly protesting outside the school with signs that read "Saudi hate is not an American value" and "Islamic sharia teaches violence and hate." If you ask me, every student taught with those textbooks is suffering a form of child abuse.

Free Speech is Good, Except When It's Bad

June 16, 2008 |

According to a recent Rasmussen survey, 88% of Americans "strongly guard their right to free speech, but only a slight majority (53%) "say the United States should refrain from banning so-called 'hate speech.'" The article continues:

"Twenty-eight percent (28%) think it is a good idea to ban hate speech, which is loosely defined as comments intended to put down or incite violence against people on the basis of race, religion, gender, sexual orientation and other legally protected categories."

In other words, 28% of Americans think that free speech is fine, but that the government should restrict that speech to protect the feelings of others. Inciting and provoking violence is one thing, but "provoking racial hatred?" That's exactly what French actress Brigitte Bardot was recently convicted of in Europe, where liberty takes a back seat to equality. For saying the following, Bardot was fined $23,000:

"I've had enough of being led by the nose by this whole population [Muslim immigrants] which is destroying us, destroying our country by imposing their ways."

Last week, the New York Times noted that America is now the exception to the free speech rule. In an article titled "Unlike Others, U.S. Defends Freedom to Offend in Speech," America is compared to Canada, where hate speech laws have already taken hold, and where an article written by Mark Steyn which appeared in Maclean's Magazine has violated a "hate speech law." The magazine was published with the headline "Why the Future Belongs to Islam."

The Canadian Islamic Congress is arguing that the magazine should be "forbidden from publishing such things, forced to rebut the original article and compensate Muslims for hurting their 'dignity, feelings and self-respect.'" And how should they be "compensated?" A donation to the terror-backing CAIR? Just a check with their names on it and a written apology? Should Steyn and other authors be sentenced to jail?

Luckily, there is still some hope. According to the survey, "Asked specifically about the Canadian and Bardot cases, 75% say U.S. law should not be changed to outlaw comments like the ones at issue."

Sadly, that means 25% are either in favor of limiting speech or are undecided. We are creeping into a universe in which freedom is no longer valued. Americans don't want to be free. Oh sure, they want to be free to choose who will win American Idol, what kind of cell phone to purchase, and where to go for Summer vacation. But speech, property, defense, taxation, savings, retirement, health? These are things for the government to worry about.

Update: Doors Remain Open for Fundamentalist Islamic School

|

From the Washington Times:

"State Department officials said Thursday they have no plans to close a Saudi-financed Islamic school in Northern Virginia that has failed to eliminate violent and intolerant language in textbooks."

In case you were MIA last week, there is a private Saudi-backed Islamic school teaching hatred of Jews and the merits of killing adulterers, apostates, and non-Muslims. The State Department has been having "discussions" with the government of Saudi Arabia, and after being told that the schools would "revise the textbooks by the 2008 school year," they don't plan to take "additional action."

In other words, the school will remain open, and more Saudi-sponsored throwback extremism will remain inside our borders. According to the new article, here are some of the peaceful and tolerant messages found in the textbooks:
  • A passage in a 12th-grade Koranic interpretation textbook that states it is permissible for a Muslim to kill those who have left the faith, an adulterer or someone who has murdered a Muslim intentionally: "He (praised is He) prohibits killing the soul that God has forbidden (to kill) unless for just cause." The commission said the text defines "just cause" as "unbelief after belief, adultery and killing an inviolable believer intentionally."
  • A social sciences track that states, "The cause of the discord: The Jews conspired against Islam and its people. A sly, wicked person who sinfully and deceitfully professed Islam infiltrated (the Muslims). He was 'Abd Allah b. Saba' (from the Jews of Yemen)."
  • An excerpt in first-grade textbooks telling teachers to explain "that all religions, other than Islam, are false, including that of the Jews, Christians and all others."

So, what future awaits alumni of the Islamic Saudi Academy? According to this article, in 2002, Mohammed Osman Idris and Mohammed El-Yacubi were denied entry to Israel over "concerns about their ties to a potential suicide bombing." They were both graduates of this esteemed Islamic institution.

Then there is the case of Ahmed Omar Abu Ali, the 1999 valedictorian. It only took 6 years for the school's top student to be indicted on charges of providing material support to terrorists. He is currently serving a 30 year prison sentence "after being convicted on charges that included plotting to assassinate President Bush." Oh, did I mention he joined al-Qaeda?

According to a document from the US Department of Justice, Abu Ali joined a "clandestine al-Qaeda cell in Saudi Arabia." The document continues, "The defendant [Ali] discussed plans for assassinating President of the United States George W. Bush with a member of the al-Qaeda cell."

Just keep bringing in that Saudi money...keep bringing in that Saudi hate. Any legitimate government would not permit this to happen, but we don't have a legitimate government. We have politically correct quizzlings who preach "tolerance" while their neighbors preach "death to adulterers."

We are losing our country.

Welcome Saudi-American Jihadists, Class of 2008

June 12, 2008 |

Have I not warned you of Saudi money (essentially your money) flowing back into this country to fund radical schools that teach hatred of nonbelievers? Finally the Associated Press is taking notice. A report has surfaced on their web site, with the watered down headline "Troubling Passages in Texts at Va. School."

The article states that the textbooks teach students that "it is permissable for Muslims to kill adulterers and converts from Islam," that "the Jews conspired against Islam and its people," and that "Muslims are permitted to take the lives and property of those deemed 'polytheists.'"

The Islamic Saudi Academy (whose name should have immediately triggered alarm bells) teaches 900 students in grades K-12 at two separate Virginia campuses, and "receives much of its funding from the Saudi government." The same Saudi government we have been cozy with for much of the last century (that is, ever since oil was discovered there).

The article continues: "The academy has come under scrutiny from critics who allege that it fosters an intolerant brand of Islam similar to that taught in the conservative Saudi kingdom...The U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom, a panel formed by Congress, last year recommended that the school be closed amid concerns that it promotes violence and too closely mimics the conservative Saudi educational system."

Can I ask why we are permitting the doors of this school to remain open, when a non-Muslim can't even obtain residency in Saudi Arabia, much less practice his or her religion without persecution? If you are unfortunate enough to die in Saudi Arabia, you are prohibited from even being buried there; they will ship your lifeless non-believing corpse back to the States.

"A social studies text offers the view that Jews were responsible for the split between Sunni and Shiite Muslims: "The cause of the discord: The Jews conspired against Islam and its people. A sly, wicked person who sinfully and deceitfully professed Islam infiltrated (the Muslims)."

MSNBC decided to join the party and is currently conducting a poll which asks, "Should an Islamic school be allowed to lease county property while using textbooks that teach intolerance?" First, the word isn't "intolerance," it's murder. Second, an alarming 12% of useful idiots (or perhaps simply the entire population of Berkeley, California) have replied, "Yes. One way to teach tolerance is to show tolerance." Aw, I feel better already.

It's suprisingly easy to show tolerance when you're throat has been cut.

New York City's Israel Day Parade

June 4, 2008 |

New York City hosted the Israel Day Parade a few days ago, complete with an appearance by a hoard of anti-Semites calling themselves the "Islamic Thinkers Society." Here are some highlights from the protesters:

Meet the new anti-Semitism. Hint: it's the same as the old anti-Semitism.

A Borat reference, really? So Jews are fine as long as they're providing you with poster-fodder?

And here is a large yellow graph to prove it!

But somehow that doesn't include killing millions of Jews? Oh wait...

Note the sign in the back of the last photograph. Not Israel, not the "occupation," but Jews. This isn't about Israel, it's about loathing Jews and blaming them for every problem on Earth.

Will there be any bombings over these offensive (albeit trite) anti-semitic cartoons and statements? Any death threats? No, only when cartoons mock Islam is violence to be expected and our freedoms to be dissolved in the name of multiculturalism.

Religion of Pieces

April 29, 2008 |

You probably don't know who Mohammad Abbad is (and you never will if your television remains tuned to CNN), but you should know he is currently on trial in Istanbul. If found guilty, he could lose his children, his marriage, his property, and his home. What was his crime?

He chose to leave Islam and convert to Christianity, otherwise known as apostasy. According to the story, the 40 year-old Jordanian fled his home country after Muslims "violently attacked him and his 10 year-old son in their home." These men sound particularly understanding. These men sound particularly peaceful.

Abbad says he can’t win the case as long as he maintains that he converted from Islam to Christianity. He says:

"The court will annul my marriage, I will be deprived of my kids, I will be with no ID or passport, and my properties will be confiscated."

Turkey is no stranger to Muslim-on-Christian violence. Last year, three employees of a Bible publishing house were murdered after being attacked by men who openly stated they "carried out the killings to protect Islam." A Turkish newspaper also quoted the man as saying:

"We didn't do this for ourselves, but for our religion. Our religion is being destroyed. Let this be a lesson to enemies of our religion."

Your religion is being destroyed? It seems as if it's the other way around. It seems as if the forces that have perverted your religion and wrapped themselves in it (forces which include you, you schmuck), are destroying everyone else's. So why don't you come out and say it?

The enemy of your religion is liberty, and you know it.

The Clerics of King Carter's Court

April 15, 2008 |

Courtesy of MEMRI, here is just a sample of the rhetoric that comes from the mouths of the very people with whom Jimmy Carter wants to have "dialogue:"

Are you still in denial that radical Islamisation is an existential threat to Europe and the rest of the free world? Have you yet swallowed the lie that Hamas wants peace? Have you yet bought the package of deceit telling you that this throw-back militant group has the interests of the Palestinians at heart? The very same group who, just one month ago, praised the murder of innocent religious students (ahem, children) in a Jerusalem Yeshiva?

Above: How quickly we forget.

Then you go talk to them, and be sure to leave a forwarding address so your severed infidelic head can be mailed back to the States.

Journalistic Jihad

March 6, 2008 |

On its web site, the Society of Professional Journalists has specified reporting guidelines "urging members and fellow journalists to take steps against racial profiling in their coverage of the war on terrorism." The following "guidelines" are part of their commitment to the perpetuation of the media's most valued export: reality-twisting political correctness.

I'll keep the commentary succinct; this story speaks for itself, and if you don't finally realize the level of brainwashing and calculation that goes into every news broadcast, it's probably too late for you.

Seek out people from a variety of ethnic and religious backgrounds when photographing rescue and other public service workers and military personnel.

It's not good enough to just show reality; to just point the camera and let the world speak for itself. No, I like my news networks to shape my reality for me.

Avoid conveying the impression that all Arab Americans and Muslims wear traditional clothing. Use photos and features to demystify veils, turbans and other cultural articles and customs.

Because the ignorant crackers can't tell the difference between a Hijab and Jihad, and are frightened by the "mysterious" aspects of Arab dress.
Cover the victims of harassment, murder and other hate crimes as thoroughly as you cover the victims of overt terrorist attacks.

I'm speechless.

Make an extra effort to include olive-complexioned and darker men and women, Sikhs, Muslims and devout religious people...Seek out experts on military strategies, public safety, diplomacy, economics and other pertinent topics who run the spectrum of race, class, gender and geography.

So a group of experts contributing intelligent insight just won't cut it if they don’t "run the spectrum."

When writing about terrorism, remember to include white supremacist, radical anti-abortionists and other groups with a history of such activity.

Right now, Islamism/political Islam has declared war on us. Somehow the irrelevance of anti-abortionists and white supremacists doesn't matter, because these groups aren't made up of easily offended minorities. I should not have to explain how ludicrous this is.

Do not imply that kneeling on the floor praying, listening to Arabic music or reciting from the Quran are peculiar activities.

In America, there's nothing wrong (nor should there be) with kneeling to pray multiple times a day, listening to Arabic music, or reciting from an ancient book. If that's what your religion asks of you and it doesn't infringe on my civil liberties or tax dollars, be my guest.

But realize that to the Joe Six-Packs of America, those are peculiar activities, just like a woman without a veiled face and scars on her back is “peculiar” to a Saudi.

Avoid using word combinations such as "Islamic terrorist" or "Muslim extremist" that are misleading because they link whole religions to criminal activity.

No, they link elements of a whole religion to criminal activity, which you'd have to be a fool (or a CNN viewer) not to understand. Oh, and when referring to WWII, don't use the term "German fascism," because that links people of a whole nation to "criminal activity."

Avoid using terms such as "jihad" unless you are certain of their precise meaning and include the context when they are used in quotations. The basic meaning of "jihad" is to exert oneself for the good of Islam and to better oneself.

Here we go again. Jihad couldn't possibly mean a divine battle against infidels for the good of Islam and the Islamic state. No, my "jihad" simply means my "struggle."

I hate to break it to you, but so does Mein Kampf.

Islamophobia Can't Hold a Shabbat Candle to Modern Anti-Semitism

February 10, 2008 |

To put it simply, the term "Islamophobia" exists solely to stifle any and all criticism of Islam. So, the xenophobic high-school dropout from Alabama who refers to any Muslim as "Osama" is no different than a generally benevolent and accepting person who takes issue with the fact that after the July 7th London tube bombings, 16% of Muslims living in London believed that "while the attacks may have been wrong, the cause was right" (Times of London poll, July 7th, 2006).

In 2006, novelist Salman Rushdie — who lived under police protection after his 1988 novel The Satanic Verses led to death threats, bookstore bombings, and riots throughout the Muslim world — called Islamophobia a "wretched concept that confuses criticism of Islam as a religion and stigmatization of those who believe in it." The trouble with the term is that it isn't just used to battle the ignorance and insecurities of the homegrown racist (a worthy fight), but open criticism from all degrees of legitimacy.

The influential and governing entities in the West, including the media, do not "teach" citizens to hate Muslims, nor do they implicitly condone criticism. In fact, the reality is quite the opposite.

In 2004, Sheikh Abdur-Rahman al-Sudais from Saudi Arabia opened the largest mosque in the city of London. As part of their coverage of the event, the BBC referred to al-Sudais as a "respected leader" who strived for "community cohesion." Among the things the network didn't air was this peaceful gem:

"In the name of Allah, the Jews must be annihilated. They are the scum of the human race, the rats of the world...the murderers of the prophets, and the offspring of apes and pigs."
-Sheikh Abdur-Rahman al-Sudais

Some more from one the Sheikh's sermons at the Grand Al-Haraam Mosque in Mecca:

"Read history...and you will understand that the Jews of yesterday are the evil fathers of the Jews of today, who are evil offspring, infidels...the scum of the human race whom Allah cursed and turned into apes and pigs...these are the Jews, a continuous lineage of meanness, cunning, obstinacy, tyranny, licentiousness, evil, and corruption."

The Canadian government actually denied al-Sudais an entry visa after learning of his calls for violence against Jews, Christians, and Hindus. London's a long way from Mecca (although it's getting closer every year), so the BBC chose not to unearth this bitter vitriol, or perhaps simply not to broadcast it.

You would be hard pressed to turn on CNN or the BBC to find an in depth report on "Muslim apes" or "Islamic pigs."

Above: Does this frighten you? Surprise, you're an Islamophobe.

Pay extra attention to this next sentence. Of course not all Muslims are radicalized un-assimilated Jew-loathing trigger-happy militants. Don't get me wrong - I can think of few people I sympathize with more than the decent and benevolent Muslim living in the tumultuous West. But unlike in Saudi Arabia, Muslim immigrants in the West are cushioned equally by our freedoms, our legal system, and our lack of state-sponsored propaganda. You can hardly say the same about a Jew or a Christian living in the aforementioned kingdom. In the unadorned language of our State Department, "religious freedom does not exist there."

It is because of the totalitarian nature of Arab media, which is largely government-controlled, that religious freedom can be suppressed and propaganda can be proliferated. Antisemitic cartoons and television shows are a regular occurrence in Saudi and Iranian media; in fact, a Saudi cartoonist's only freedom of expression is how he wants to draw the horns and giant noses. Danish cartoonists have a little more elbow room.

While a drawing of a Muslim with a bomb belt reinforces the stereotype that all Muslims are terrorists, the fact remains that some Muslims are terrorists, and many more support their cause, even if they do not support their modus operandi. A cartoon depicting a Jew drinking the blood of children has no such rooting in reality, and does more to incite irrational fear, hatred, and violence against an entire people than anything published in the West.

And what is the Jewish response? Riots? Death threats? Setting fire to effigies of Mohammad in the streets of Jerusalem? None of the above. In fact, in 2006, Dimona Comix Publishing, a group of Israeli artists from Tel Aviv, held an anti-semitic cartoon contest — in which all of the cartoons were drawn by Jews.

Amitai Sandy, a graphic artist with Dimona Comix who was inspired by the Danish cartoon controversy, had the following to say about the contest: "We'll show the world we can do the best, sharpest, most offensive Jew-hating cartoons ever published. No Iranian will beat us on our home turf."

Like all politically correct neologisms, "Islamophobia" is a vague and overused term which deflects reality and suppresses open discussion. The term has seen increasingly widespread use and acceptance, but is a far cry from the unadulterated hatred of Jews and other “non-believers” that is propagated in the Muslim world — hatred firmly rooted around a global and historical scapegoat, and cultivated with centuries of isolation, indoctrination, and propaganda.
